The weightless feeder is composed of hopper, feeder (single and double axis screw feeder), weighing system and regulator. In operation, the hopper, material and feeder are weighed continuously together. As the material is delivered, the true weight loss rate is measured and compared with the desired weight loss rate (set value). The weightless feeder automatically corrects deviations from the set point by mediating the feed rate. Thus, materials can be fed continuously and accurately.
